· 6 sub-group leaders of the co-management group
· 6 representatives from authorities (Sub-DARD CLD, Information division CLD, People’s Committee of An Thanh Nam commune, border post, women’s union of the commune, Forest Protection sub-department in CLD)
· 2 staff from GIZ Soc Trang (Bianca Schlegel and Phạm Thùy Dương)
Aim of the meeting was to discuss (1) time, venue and logistics for the signing ceremony of the co-management agreement and (2) re-identification of the sub-group borders. In summary, it was agreed that:
- The signing ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 22 at 8:00 am in An Thanh Nam A primary school, Vo Thanh Van village, An Thanh Nam commune, Cu Lao Dung.
- Bianca will draft the agenda and the invitation letter. The project will take care of the invitation for authorities at provincial level, Tra Vinh and other coastal districts (Tran De and Vinh Chau). Mr. Ngo and Mr. Kiet (CLD DPT) will take care of the invitation for authorities at district and commune level. Sub-group leaders will take care of invitation to the co-management group members (representatives of each households).
- The Cu Lao Dung DPT will take care of renting tents, tables, chairs (for 300 participants), sound systems.
- The project will take care of banner production.
- Set-up should be on Saturday, September 21.
- The Red Team will be introduced at the ceremony.
- Direction signs should be put along the way led to the event (the primary school).
The status of preparation was also discussed. The T-shirts were printed but not yet delivered. The membership cards will be printed by September 9. It was suggested to put 4 sign posts of the co-management area along the dyke before the signing ceremony if possible. The other 4 sign posts along the mudflat side can be added later as they will be made of concrete and would require more work to prepare. At the end of the meeting, 500 hats were handed over to the sub-group leaders.
Finally, the sub-group’ borders were re-identified as above.
